Dan Dakich


Dan recently joined ESPN and will be serving as both a studio and game analyst.  He will be primarily assigned to ESPN’s Big Ten broadcasts.  Prior to joining ESPN, Dan served as one of the main studio analysts for the Big Ten Network,

Dan is also the mid-day radio host at 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis.

Dan is one of the best known and most respected names in Indiana sports.  He spent 16 years at Indiana University as a player and assistant coach for IU legend Bob Knight, and then enjoyed a ten-year tenure as the head coach at Bowling Green before returning to Bloomington where he finished the 2007-2008 season as IU’s head basketball coach.

Both in Bloomington and Bowling Green, Dan has demonstrated unshakable integrity and character. The desire to help basketball players learn lessons that serve them well as adults is the hallmark of a fine coach, and Dan has shown that to be his first priority. 88 of the student athletes to play four years for Dan at Bowling Green earned his degree.

Dan resides with his family in Indiana.
