Sherhara Williams

As a highly requested motivational speaker, host, and broadcast journalist, Sherhara has spent majority of her life captivating audiences. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide range of educators, non-profits, government agencies, and major corporations. Sherhara works off- air sculpting numerous programs, promotions, and initiatives targeting entrepreneurs and young professionals. She increases the amount of information, resources, and support available to them both locally and nationally. Sherhara was awarded, “2007 Best Speaker by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

Sherhara is a multimedia journalist with a passion for informing, entertaining and inspiring people. She began her career as a general assignment reporter for WFIU Television in Bloomington, Indiana. Later Sherhara developed and hosted Bring It On, a black public affairs forum broadcast on WFHB that continues to be the only radio show targeting blacks in Southern Indiana today. As host at a grassroots station like WFHB, Sherhara understands what it takes to guide a group of people through a broadcast. Her vibrant personality radiates throughout her presentation both on- and off-air. Her talent has allowed her to work with some of the best radio personalities like V103’s Herb Kent and appear as a guest host with Matt McGill at WVON radio.

As a speaker, she has addressed a wide range of groups including Toyota, Chevrolet, Indiana University, University of Illinois, Verizon Wireless, Boys and Girls Club of America, Laura Passmore Federated Girls Club, Iota Phi Theata Fraternity Inc. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Kenwood Academy Brotherhood and churches everywhere. Her comfort behind the microphone is equally matched by her conversational demeanor in person. Currently touring across the nation, Sherhara coaches audiences to not just chase after dreams but capture them.

Sherhara is an active participant in the fight against HIV and AIDs. She hosted Redvolution: Aids Benefit Concert with renown Co-Hosted, MTV’s Quddus. One of her many goals is to save lives by informing youth. She believes communication builds communities. That belief has connected her with well known personalities and activists such as Cornell West, Afeni Shakur, and Jasmine Guy.

Whether in small college towns or big cities, Sherhara uses every art form to communicate messages of community, success, and passion.  Her savvy personality and knowledge allows her to play a number of different roles, as a host, a promoter, or merely someone who can influence others to enact positive change in their community and lives but she is simply Sherhara.

When she’s not on an airplane, she lives in Chicago, Illinois perusing her Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing and communications.
